Tentang situs ini

Lekuan is the classic Bunaken wall: a reef flat that ends abruptly and falls vertically for far further than any recreational profile follows. The wall is cut with crevices and overhangs, and the visibility that Bunaken is known for makes the scale of it obvious from the first minute.

It sits inside Bunaken National Marine Park, which is the reason the coral is intact and the reason there is a park fee.

Yang akan Anda lihat

  • Green and hawksbill turtles
  • Napoleon wrasse
  • Pyramid butterflyfish
  • Giant sea fans and barrel sponges
  • Reef sharks in the blue

Cara menyelaminya

  • Watch your depth against the wall. A vertical face with excellent visibility removes the usual visual cues and divers routinely go deeper than they intended here.
  • Keep the wall on one shoulder and drift with the current rather than swimming against it — the profile is designed as a one-way drift with a boat pickup.
  • Turtles here are habituated and approachable. Approachable is not the same as touchable.
