와카토비는 동남 술라웨시에 위치한 외딴 군도로, Wangi-Wangi, Kaledupa, Tomia, Binongko 네 섬의 이름에서 유래했습니다. 유네스코 생물권 보전지역으로 지정되었으며, 세계 최고 수준의 산호초 생물다양성을 자랑합니다.

세계적인 다이빙

하우스 리프만 해도 500종 이상의 어류와 396종의 산호가 서식하며, 이는 카리브해 전체보다 많은 수치입니다. 수중 시야는 25m 이상 확보되는 경우가 많습니다. 인기 다이빙 포인트는 Roma, Blade, Table Coral City 등이 있습니다.

가는 방법

마카사르 또는 켄다리에서 Wangi-Wangi 공항으로 항공편을 이용하세요. Wangi-Wangi에서 다른 섬으로는 스피드보트가 연결됩니다. Tomia의 고급 Wakatobi Dive Resort는 전세기를 운영합니다. Wangi-Wangi에는 저렴한 홈스테이와 기본 다이브 숍도 있습니다.

다이빙 외 즐길 거리

Kaledupa에서는 바다 위에 세워진 바자우족 수상 마을을 방문할 수 있습니다. 전통 보트 제작, 직조, 어업 문화가 여전히 이어지고 있습니다. Hoga 섬에는 청정 해변과 해양 연구소가 있습니다.
