Karimunjawa is a pristine archipelago of 27 islands in the Java Sea, about 80 km north of Jepara. This national marine park offers white sand beaches, crystal-clear snorkeling, and a laid-back vibe far from the tourist crowds.
Getting There
Fast ferries from Jepara take about 2 hours, or you can fly from Semarang (30 minutes). The main island has basic accommodation ranging from homestays to eco-resorts. Book ferries in advance during peak season (June-August).
