The fish
Segelfische jagen Köderfischschwärme entlang von Strömungskanten und leuchten beim Angriff in intensivem Neonblau. Ist der Haken gesetzt, verbringen sie die halbe Drillzeit in der Luft – mit spektakulären Sprüngen, "Tail-Walking" und spritzender Gischt.
Mit leichterem Gerät als beim Marlin sind Segelfische der ideale erste Fächerfisch. Doppeldrills sind keine Seltenheit, wenn ein Trupp auf Ihr Köderfeld trifft.
Angler's notes
- Geben Sie beim Biss kurz Schnur – Segelfische schlagen oft zuerst auf den Köder, bevor sie ihn richtig nehmen.
- Lassen Sie den Fisch für Fotos im Wasser; stützen Sie den Schnabel und heben Sie ihn niemals daran an.
- Gesund zurückgesetzt, schwimmen sie innerhalb weniger Sekunden kraftvoll davon.
