Singapore to Bintan ferry
Bintan is the resort island — Lagoi’s beaches, golf and Treasure Bay, not a shopping day-trip. Its ferry leaves from Tanah Merah on the east of Singapore, not the HarbourFront terminal the Batam boats use, and where you land depends entirely on which ferry you take. Here is how to get it right. Sailtix does not sell these tickets, so there is nothing here to talk you into.

Overview
Two things confuse first-time Bintan travellers, and both cost real time. The first is the terminal: Bintan ferries leave from Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal near Changi, not from HarbourFront — a taxi to the wrong one is a missed sailing. The July 2026 HarbourFront move was a Batam story; Tanah Merah was never part of it.
The second is where you land. Bintan Resort Ferries runs from Tanah Merah straight to Bandar Bentan Telani at Lagoi — the resorts, the golf, Club Med and Banyan Tree, Treasure Bay and ANMON. Sindo and Majestic go to Tanjung Pinang instead, the main town on the far side of the island, on a longer crossing. If your booking says a Lagoi resort, you want the Bintan Resort Ferries boat to Bandar Bentan Telani — not the town ferry.

What you actually pay
Bintan pricing is simpler than Batam’s in one good way: Bintan Resort Ferries publishes an all-inclusive fare — the levies and fees are already inside the headline number, not added at the counter. It is a resort fare, not a bargain-hop fare, and it is higher than the Batam crossing for that reason.

Which side of Bintan, and which ferry
For the Lagoi resorts — Nirwana, Banyan Tree, Cassia, Club Med, the golf courses, Treasure Bay and ANMON — take Bintan Resort Ferries from Tanah Merah to Bandar Bentan Telani. It is the direct resort crossing, about an hour and ten minutes, and the resort shuttles meet it.
For Tanjung Pinang, the island’s main town on the south side, Sindo and Majestic run from Tanah Merah to Sri Bintan Pura — a longer trip of roughly an hour and three-quarters to two hours. It is a different Bintan entirely, and the two are routinely booked by mistake. Check fares for that leg directly with Sindo or Majestic; the price above is the Lagoi resort crossing.
The time zone catch
Bintan runs on Western Indonesia Time (WIB, UTC+7), one hour behind Singapore (UTC+8) — the same as Batam. On the roughly seventy-minute Lagoi crossing the clock barely seems to move: you land at close to the time you left by local reckoning. Set your phone back an hour on arrival, forward an hour coming home, and read every schedule in the zone of the terminal you are standing in.
Passports, check-in and boarding
This is an international crossing: bring a passport with at least six months of validity, and check the visa position for your nationality before you go. At Tanah Merah you exchange your ticket for a boarding pass, clear departure immigration, and clear arrival immigration on the Bintan side. Arrive with the buffer you would give a short flight, and book in the name on your passport.
