When is the sea actually calm?

Seven stretches of Indonesian water, each measured every day for four years. Wave height, wind and the share of days genuinely easy to be out on — month by month.

Lombok Strait 1,462 days measured The deep gap between Bali and Lombok, where the Indonesian Throughflow drains the Pacific into the Indian Ocean. Rarely flat, and never for long.
