The bookable fleet
Fishing boats in Bali
These are the fishing boats you can actually book — with the hull, engine and tackle each one carries, straight from the live charter inventory. No composite “example boats”: every card below is a real vessel with a real captain and a bookable date.

One fleet, one price — choose by boat
Today the whole bookable sport-fishing fleet sails from Sanur under one operator, and a full day costs the same on every boat. That makes the choice refreshingly simple: pick the hull. More beam means a steadier drift, more engine means further grounds in the same day, and a higher angler limit means more lines in the water on a shared trip.
Chartering from Serangan instead? The private charter and yacht fleet there takes fishing-ready trips that are a different product — whole-boat cruising with lines out, not a rigged sportfisher. Where the boats actually leave
Reading the spec sheet
Length and beam decide comfort more than speed. A wider hull sits steadier while you fight a fish on the drift; a narrow one pounds in a crossing chop.
Engine power is range. The far FADs and the deep ledges that hold the bigger pelagics cost fuel and time — twin 200s reach water a single 115 cannot in the same day.
The angler limit is a fishing number, not a seating number. It is how many people can work rods at once without crossing lines — going over it ruins the day faster than any weather.

What these cards do not promise
Prices are the live full-day rate for the whole boat and can change with season and date. Availability is date-specific — a boat is a real vessel with one crew, not a ticket inventory. Inclusions, tackle and the exact pickup live on each boat’s booking page; check them there before you pay.
