  • Gili Getaway asks you to be at the dock at least 30 minutes before departure; its boats leave on time.

Boarding

  • The boat from Bali berths at a private resort jetty, so there is no beach landing.

Getting there

  • Gili Gede is a stop on Gili Getaway’s line from Serangan. It does not sail every day, so check the dates in the schedule. Local boats cross to Tembowong on the Sekotong mainland.

  • There is no ATM on the island, so bring cash.

  • Eka Jaya sets check-in one hour before departure; Gili Getaway asks for at least 30 minutes at the dock.

Boarding

  • Boats use Senggigi Port, run by the West Lombok transport office, which has opened a new wharf for berthing and boarding.

Getting there

  • Since August 2026 buses and minibuses must use a designated parking area instead of the road by the port entrance.

Facilities

  • Since June 2026 the port has e-ticketing and online gate-in at its central ticketing terminal.

Good to know

  • Crossings are suspended when high waves are forecast; in July 2025 passengers stranded at Senggigi were sent on to Lembar port.

The Gili Gede to Senggigi fast boat is a stop on Gili Getaway's daily Bali–Lombok rotation, with one departure a day on the current schedule: 10:15 from Gili Gede, arriving Senggigi at 11:00, a crossing of 45 min. It is a direct hop with no stops between the two piers.

Gili Gede is the largest of the Sekotong islands off Lombok's south-west tip — a handful of resorts, dive boats and mangrove shoreline, with none of the crowds of the northern Gilis. Check-in closes 60 minutes before the 10:15 departure.

Senggigi is Lombok's west-coast resort strip; the boat uses the beach landing in front of the main hotels, around 45 minutes by road from Lombok's airport.
