Eka Jaya runs the fast boat from Nusa Dua in south Bali to Gili Trawangan. On the schedule shown, its boats leave every day of the week in the morning and reach Gili Trawangan in the late morning, so the afternoon is yours on the island.
The crossing takes roughly 2.5 to 3.5 hours, and the departures do not all take the same time. Each row of the timetable above shows its own departure and arrival time, so compare the arrival rather than assuming the earliest boat lands first.
You board at Eka Jaya's own harbour on the Tanjung Benoa peninsula, which the operator opened in 2026 as its second Bali departure point alongside Padang Bai. Check-in opens one hour before departure and closes 30 minutes before; passengers who arrive late are not boarded or refunded. Eka Jaya allows two bags per passenger, up to 25 kg in total.
Boats arrive at the public harbour on Gili Trawangan's sheltered east side, close to the market and most places to stay. There are no motor vehicles on the island: you walk, rent a bicycle or take a cidomo (horse cart), the usual way to move heavy luggage. Cidomo fares are not fixed, so agree the price before you get on; e-bikes and e-scooters are barred as well.
Visitors to the three Gilis pay an entry fee. Most boats from Bali collect it when you board or include it in the ticket; otherwise staff collect it at the harbour. Several ATMs stand near the harbour, but they can run out of cash in July, August and at year-end, especially in the evening, so bring some rupiah with you.
Weather can cancel sailings, most often from January to March, and mornings are usually the calmest time to cross. When you plan the trip back, keep in mind that Eka Jaya advises leaving the Gilis at least 24 hours before any onward flight. Be at the Nusa Dua harbour an hour before departure; Eka Jaya closes check-in 30 minutes before and does not board late passengers.
Pack within Eka Jaya's limit of two bags per passenger, 25 kg in total.

Carry some cash for a cidomo in case the harbour ATMs run dry in peak season, and agree the cidomo fare before you set off.
