Check-in

  • Eka Jaya opens check-in one hour before departure and closes it 30 minutes before; late passengers are not boarded or refunded.

Boarding

  • Eka Jaya, Wahana and BlueWater each allow two bags per passenger, up to 25 kg in total.

Getting there

  • Fast boats leave from Padang Bai’s public boat dock, not from the car-ferry terminal for Lembar.
  • The drive from Ubud takes about 1 to 1.5 hours. BlueWater suggests Padang Bai if you are staying in central Bali and warns that roads get busy.
  • Grab and Gojek can drop you at the port, but app pick-ups there are obstructed; travellers usually walk 5 to 10 minutes away before booking a ride.

Good to know

  • Touts around the harbour sell boat tickets at inflated prices, so buy from the operator’s counter or in advance. If an unofficial porter offers to carry your bags, agree the price first.

Fees

  • Foreign visitors pay a one-off Lembongan–Ceningan area levy of Rp 25,000 per adult and Rp 15,000 per child aged 4–13 (Klungkung Regulation 4/2026). Since 1 September 2026 every visitor, Indonesian or foreign, also pays the same rates at each covered tourist site.
  • Klungkung’s tourism office (notice of August 2025) lists the Lembongan–Ceningan levy counter at Devil’s Tear, where cash is preferred. You can also pay in advance on atixbali.com; online tickets are valid only for the date you choose.

Check-in

  • Setia Fast Ferry and Scoot both have their Lembongan offices on Jungut Batu beach. Setia asks you to check in there 30 minutes before departure; a shuttle boat then takes you and your bags out to the ferry.

Boarding

  • Jungut Batu has no jetty: boats anchor just off the beach and you wade ashore, so wear shorts and sandals. Rocky Fast Cruise’s jetty at Telatak is the island’s only dry landing.
  • Luggage allowances differ: Setia includes up to 25 kg of checked baggage plus one carry-on, while Scoot allows two bags weighing up to 40 kg in total.

Getting around

  • Grab and Gojek do not operate on Lembongan and there are very few cars. Pick-up trucks with bench seats work as taxis: they wait at the landing points or your hotel can book one, so agree the fare before you get in. Scooters are widely rented.

Good to know

  • Rough seas can hold or cancel boats between Sanur and the Nusa islands. In August 2025 waves of about 4 m made Sanur Harbour cancel its sailings to the islands, and in February 2025 departures to Nusa Penida and Lembongan were held for up to 45 minutes.
