The fast boat from Senggigi to Gili Trawangan links Senggigi Port in West Lombok with the Gilis. Two operators sail it on the current schedule: Eka Jaya, which runs every day of the week, and Gili Getaway, which does not sail every day, so check your date.
Eka Jaya has departures in the morning and in the early afternoon, and Gili Getaway leaves in the late morning. The crossing takes about 15 to 30 minutes. The live schedule above shows the exact times, the days each boat sails and the current fares.
Boats use Senggigi Port, run by the West Lombok transport office, which berths and boards passengers at its wharf. Since June 2026 the port has e-ticketing and online gate-in at its central ticketing terminal, and since August 2026 buses and minibuses must use a designated parking area instead of the road by the port entrance.
Check-in rules differ by operator. Eka Jaya opens check-in one hour before departure and closes it 30 minutes before; late passengers are not boarded or refunded. Gili Getaway asks you to be at the dock at least 30 minutes before departure, and its boats leave on time. Eka Jaya allows two bags per passenger, up to 25 kg in total.
Boats arrive at Gili Trawangan's public harbour on the island's sheltered east side, close to the market and most places to stay. There are no motor vehicles on the island: you walk, rent a bicycle or take a cidomo (horse cart), and cidomo fares are not fixed, so agree the price before you get on. Visitors to the Gilis also pay an island entry fee; if your boat has not collected it, staff collect it at the harbour.
Crossings are suspended when high waves are forecast; in July 2025 passengers stranded at Senggigi were sent on to Lembar port. Cancellations on the Gili routes are most common from January to March, and mornings are usually the calmest time to cross.
