The fish
South of Bali the shelf plunges into the Indian Ocean, and with it come the blues. A marlin strike on the troll is unmistakable — a shoulder-wrenching slam, then a hundred metres of line in the air behind a greyhounding fish.
These are long, honest fights on stand-up gear. Most charters run circle hooks and release every billfish boat-side.
