  • Foreign visitors pay a one-off Lembongan–Ceningan area levy of Rp 25,000 per adult and Rp 15,000 per child aged 4–13 (Klungkung Regulation 4/2026). Since 1 September 2026 every visitor, Indonesian or foreign, also pays the same rates at each covered tourist site.
  • Klungkung’s tourism office (notice of August 2025) lists the Lembongan–Ceningan levy counter at Devil’s Tear, where cash is preferred. You can also pay in advance on atixbali.com; online tickets are valid only for the date you choose.

Check-in

  • Eka Jaya opens check-in one hour before departure and closes it 30 minutes before; late passengers are not boarded or refunded.

Boarding

  • Eka Jaya lists its Lembongan stop as Yellow Bridge. A shuttle boat carries passengers between the shore and the ferry, so check-in is earlier here and boats from Lembongan leave 30 minutes earlier; confirm your local departure time.

Getting around

  • The Yellow Bridge to Nusa Ceningan is for pedestrians and two-wheelers only; cars cannot cross. It is occasionally closed to motorbikes for maintenance, as for 24 hours in July 2022, when pedestrians could still cross and boats could be arranged.
  • Grab and Gojek do not operate on Lembongan and there are very few cars. Pick-up trucks with bench seats work as taxis: they wait at the landing points or your hotel can book one, so agree the fare before you get in. Scooters are widely rented.

Good to know

  • The current bridge opened on 31 March 2017. It replaced the earlier bridge, which collapsed under a crowd during a ceremony on 16 October 2016, killing at least 8 people.

Fees

  • Visitors to the three Gilis pay an entry fee of Rp 20,000 (foreign) or Rp 10,000 (Indonesian adults), in force since 1 February 2024. Most boats from Bali collect it when you board or include it in the ticket; otherwise staff collect it at the Gili harbour.
  • A rise to Rp 50,000 for foreign visitors has been proposed but was still a draft in 2026, so the Rp 20,000 rate applies.

Check-in

  • Gili Getaway asks you to be at the dock at least 30 minutes before departure; its boats leave on time.
  • For the trip back, Wahana passengers report to its check-in staff to swap the booking for a boarding pass, then wait at the jetty while porters load the bags.

Boarding

  • Boats arrive at the public harbour on the island’s sheltered east side, close to the market and most places to stay. On Wahana boats, porters unload the bags.

Getting around

  • There are no motor vehicles on the Gilis. You walk, rent a bicycle or take a cidomo (horse cart), which is the usual way to move heavy luggage. Cidomo fares are not fixed, so agree the price before you get on.
  • A 2026 transport-office advisory also bars renting or riding e-bikes and e-scooters on the islands.

Facilities

  • Several ATMs are near the harbour, but they can run out of cash in July, August and at year-end, especially in the evening.

Good to know

  • Weather can cancel sailings, most often from January to March. Eka Jaya advises leaving at least 24 hours before any onward flight, and mornings are usually the calmest time to cross.
